Once in awhile a good show comes on and it captivates the viewer’s mind and imagination. One show that does just that, is Netflix House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. I used to think that the West Wing was a great political show back in its day when it was on top.  West wing is still a great show, but HOC is giving it a run for its money. Although a fictional show with fictional characters, you can’t help but wonder just how real the depiction of US politics it gives. This show may very well visually expose and demonstrate how American politics are played out and show how decisions made can affect the American people.

The show is now on its 4th season but I have just begun to watch to this show and as of now I am on 2nd season and completely hooked. I know for some people they don’t want to watch these types of shows are because they already have a certain hatred for the elected officials. But it’s a good show to watch in terms trying to understand how games are played and lost on the Hill. Votes guaranteed for an upcoming election and promises made, only to be withdrawn due to their own special interests and or agenda. The thing is, this is exactly what is happening now in Washington with Congress.

Games being played with Liberals and Conservatives trying to get the better of each other for power. Power and greed is the root of all evil and it’s being played out now with the polictiains in office.  The ones who suffer are the American people like we are pawns in a chess game with a bunch of schoolyard kids bitching about the dumbest crap at the expense of the American taxpayers.

So I say anyone who has a Netflix account or is debating on getting one.  I say get it and check out this show out.  It’s a good show and one that will keep you hooked episode after episode.  Kevin Spacey plays Frank Underwood very well and Robin Wright plays Claire Underwood as a devoted wife to her political driven husband who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Don’t take my word for it, check it out and you will see for yourself.

  1. My spouse and i ended up being very glad that Louis could round up his reports while using the ideas he gained through your weblog. It’s not at all simplistic just to possibly be giving freely helpful tips which usually many people may have been trying to sell. And we also fully understand we need the writer to thank for that. The explanations you’ve made, the simple blog navigation, the friendships you make it easier to engender – it’s got mostly awesome, and it’s assisting our son and us reckon that the situation is pleasurable, which is certainly quite serious. Thanks for the whole lot!
